The Hudson River and its nearby waterways are lifelines connecting us to each other and our local ecosystems. We delight in ice floes cracking in the winter air, eagles hunting along a river's shores, and spending a warm afternoon on a lake's cooling waters. Most importantly, these places sustain life. But our essential water sources–and our lives along them–face a host of challenges amid the changing climate.
Our 2025 cohort of grantees represents youth-led projects that are as innovative in their approaches as they are committed to environmental sustainability. Ecological restoration plans shaped to transform communities, novel pathways to reconnect ourselves with our aquatic friends, and educational programs set to unite generations make up just a handful of the 19 projects you’ll find.
The funding will advance PCA’s work in supporting at-risk pollinator populations throughout the Hudson Valley, specifically on working farms and residential landscapes, as part of the PollinateHV initiative.

Doug will discuss the ins and outs of native seed production and propagation, including the Seed Company's multi-year path to launching its new PollinateHV Local Ecotype Seed Collection in partnership with PCA.
