Grants

We are here to support you.

At PCA, we raise pools of philanthropic capital to regrant to organizations and municipalities– those working to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and bring health and balance to our troubled ecosystems. Since 2020, we have deployed $3,000,000 into our bioregion.

We couple our grants with an optional range of support to ensure each project’s success – from coaching to communications assistance. As a result, our grantee partners produce results that inspire others to take up the work most needed in their communities. Grants are available to municipalities, libraries, nonprofits, schools, and other interested partners throughout the Hudson Valley bioregion.

In 2024, we are focusing our grants program in two areas:

  • Ecological Restoration Grants for Native Habitat Restoration and Community & Urban Forestry. View our 2023 ERG recipients.

  • Building Decarbonization Grant Program to put nonprofit organizations and communities on the pathway to decreasing fossil fuel use by electrifying, insulating their facilities, and planning for the future. View our 2024 Grant Recipients.

We are committed to awarding at least 40% of grants to disadvantaged and underserved communities that are often at the frontlines of the climate crisis and need them most.
